Liberty Vintage Liberty Cream Floral Silk Scarf

The Designer First opened in 1875 in Regent Street London by Arthur Liberty when he borrowed £2,000 from his future father-in-law and then repaid the loan in eighteen months due to the success of the business. Almost ten years later the costume department was introduced directed by Edward William Godwin (1833–86) and the business grew from strength to strength building strong relationships with English designers creating an in-house apparel to challenge the fashions of Paris. Today Liberty is owned by the firm Blue Gem Capital and is best known for its own brand collections of fabrics, homeware, accessories and ready-to-wear fashion.
