Late Georgian Ruby, Sapphire And Diamond Enamel Ring

An intricate and romantic late Georgian ring (circa 1800). The setting of this ring features wonderful and detailed white enamel with bright gold. The enamelwork provides a lovely complement to the centre trefoil shape containing a diamond, ruby and sapphire surrounded by further diamonds. The rose-cut diamonds are full of character and representative of early 19th century diamond-cutting techniques. This is a charming and unique ring. Joanna Hardy says: “A very sweet and delicate ring. I haven’t seen a ring with a design like this before.”
