Emerald and Diamond Ring

This tantalising trilogy ring (designed with three stones to represent the past, present and future) centres on an oval emerald in a yellow gold millegrain collet, between white gold millegrain, collet-set brilliant-cut diamonds. A three-stone ring (also known as a trilogy ring) is made up of a cluster of three gemstones, with a larger stone at the center flanked by two smaller stones. It€™s a symbolic design (the engagement ring of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is a trilogy) denoting the past, present and future. Trilogy rings often feature the birthstone of a loved one, or combined birthstones of a couple. Emerald, the May birthstone, is a symbol of spiritual awareness, protection, love, and wisdom while Diamond, the April birthstone, is a symbol of love and fidelity, strength of character and purity. Trilogy rings are often chosen for anniversary gifts, or to mark the birth of children. Emeralds, prized for their intense colour and vibrancy, have captivated us for millenia. Every culture has attached their own meaning, lore and symbolism to this remarkable and finite gift from nature. Emeralds are naturally included stones and the French romantically refer to these characteristics as ‘jardins’, which are descriptive of the mossy and garden-like patterns throughout the stone.
