Oval Pineapple-cut Morganite, 81.20cts

Morganite pineapple cut oval, 35x25mm, 81.20cts. Joanna Hardy says: €œThis is a lovely, large stone showing the peachy-apricot colour so unique to morganite. Morganite is part of the beryl family and it was discovered in 1910 by famed gemmologist George Kunz, who bought stones for Tiffany & Co. He named the stone variety after his good friend and investor, the banker J.P. Morgan. This stone would have come from a large crystal, and with its generous size it could be quite a statement set in jewellery.€
