Late 19th Century Diamond Brooch

In the mid to late 19th Century, novelty jewellery became popular, and this finely made violin brooch reflects the trend towards novelty items. The body of the violin is set throughout with sparkling rose-cut diamonds, and the neck and strings are created from fine rose gold, which provides a beautiful complement to the diamonds.
