Etruscan Revival Gold Necklace, 19th Century

A handsome Etruscan revival necklace. This necklace features a mesh chain in rich yellow gold, from which hangs small and delicate cone or amphora shaped drops. Jewellery inspired by the ancient Etruscan people became popular in the mid to late 19th Century as archaeological discoveries in Italy resulted in exhibitions of ancient jewellery. This necklace perfectly represents the Etruscan revival style.
