An Art Deco Onyx & Diamond Brooch

A beautiful Art Deco onyx and diamond brooch set with approximately 2.40 carats of diamonds and a 0.45 carat centre stone. This piece is accompanied by a fitted box. Circa 1920s.Art Deco was an artistic movement, not limited to jewellery. It cultivated an ideology that is characterised by a celebration of the modern and mechanical. Like the Cubist art movement, Art Deco jewellery focuses on the relationship between form and function. Clean lines and geometry are dominant.
